The Earth is warming rapidly.  In response, we strive to limit the carbon footprint of our design studio and our client's buildings.  Less is more when it comes to energy consumption and our design work has a long history of employing both passive and active solar design principles for the benefit of clients and the biosphere.

The majority of our design studio power is generated by solar photovoltaic panels.  We offer staff incentives to commute on foot or by bike.  Materials such as bamboo flooring, wheatboard trim, no V.O.C. paints and formaldehyde-free insulation contributed to our office remodel.  Outside a xeriscape boulder garden greets clients and inside we generate more recycling material than waste.

It is standard practice to refer our clients to companies sourcing, producing and/or promoting sustainable building materials, practices and native landscape design.  Companies such as Miller Lumber, Heart Springs Landscape DesignEnvironmental Home Center and J.T. Atkins + Company.

Working as a team with suppliers, builders and owners, we hope to continue reducing our work's impact on the biosphere.  To learn more about Global Warming, visit Fight Global Warming and see An Inconvenient Truth.
