Greenstone
A rare example of Spanish Colonial Revival architecture in Bend, Oregon, the Greenstone remodel conserved the style and unique design features that made the original 1930's home special. Per the owner's request, the design program wrapped completely around the existing front parlor and entry door to preserve a bit of Bend's downtown history. In addition, the Moorish-style fireplace surround was carefully protected and now fronts a fully functional wood burning firebox and chimney. Key design elements of the original home are reflected in the final exterior design. Curved wing walls and patio walls take their dimensions and style from the original home, a new Chimney cap mimics the original entry door arch and from the roof tiles to the authentic stucco siding, the Greenstone home reminds visitors of the original home's color scheme.
